Tripartite H1N1 Update
October 6th, 2009
The Tripartite First Nations H1N1 Working Group memo for October is now available. The memo corrects some misinformation which is currently circulating about vaccinations and antiviral drugs. | pdf download | First Nations community members around BC need and deserve accurate information about H1N1 Influenza. The memo describes H1N1 vaccine timing and availability, and also describes the proper use of the antiviral drug Tamiflu.
INAC will not “claw back” funding for H1N1 School closures

The First Nations Schools Association Board was notified last week that INAC, BC Region has taken the position to “claw back” funding from First Nations who close their schools to control H1N1 outbreaks. This information is incorrect; BC Region has no intention to recover funds from First Nations dues to school closures relating to H1N1 outbreaks.
