The FN Health Society is requesting proposals from licensed certified public accountant firms to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2010. This audit is to be performed in accordance with the provisions included in this request for proposal:

To be considered, the proposal must be received by Tanja Dyck, Vice President Finance & Administration at by 4:00 pm on March 12, 2010. The FN Health Society reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted.

The Working Group on Indigenous Food Sovereignty (WGIFS) was born in March of 2006 out of a recognized need to carry the Indigenous voice in the various meetings, conferences and discussions that have taken place within the food security movement. UN Report -The State of the World’s Indigenous Peoples
United Nations recently released its first comprehensive report on the State of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. The report calls for full participation of Indigenous People in the design and management of health systems.For a focus on health please see pages 155-183.

Aboriginal Community Consultation Sessions
Community Living BC is holding consultation sessions across BC in March and April 2010 to learn more about the needs and challenges of Aboriginal adults with developmental disabilities, and to gather feedback and recommendations regarding gaps, needs and services. The sessions are open to service providers, self-advocates, family members, Elders, community members, community leaders, youth and other interested parties. Sessions will be held in Kamloops, Lytton, Kelowna, Duncan, Vancouver, Chilliwack, Terrace, Prince George and Fort St. John.
